Amy Smart

Amy Smart, an American actress and former model. Born and brought up in California, USA, she started her modelling career in Italy. The first time she acted was 1996 when she starred in "Her Costly Affair," an TV film. After that, she was a star in a role of minor importance in the movie "Starship Troopers", she struggled very hard. Amy had a difficult time making the switch from modeling to acting because models were typically not thought of as actors. They were often offered small roles that were not important. Amy was never discouraged. She exceeded her roles from the 70's' show and the film Varsity Blues. In 2005 she took on the lead role in the romantic comedy 'Just friends'. Ryan Reynolds also was in the film. The film was a major business success at the box office, and Amy discovered the fame she had been striving for for over a decade. She continued to work in major movies, including the "Crank" with Jason Statham.
