Mary McCormack was an American actress best known for her roles as the main character in TV series such as "Murder One", "The West Wing", "In Plain Sight" and Loaded. Additionally, she is known for her films roles, she has appeared in "Private Parts", "Deep Impact", "True Crime" and 1408. McCormack is a native of Connecticut, born in a house with no entertainment connections at all to her family tree, was the daughter of a clinical therapist and an owner of an ice cream parlor. McCormack attended Wardlaw-Hartridge School and, following the separation of her parents in 1990, she went to Trinity College in Hartford in Connecticut. She graduated in the BA program in comparative arts. At the age of 12 She began her acting career with a production of the Christmas opera "Amahl and The Night Visitors". She continued performing at the theater as well as landing roles both on the small screen as well as the big screen. McCormack's versatility is widely recognized and is still widely recognized. She has three daughters together with her husband, director/producer Michael Morris.
