Four of her siblings belong to her father's ex-married partners. They were initially from Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria when she was 6. Taylor-Joy acknowledged that the move had been difficult and that she was unable to go back to school in English in the hope of go back to Argentina. Hill House became her school of choice after Taylor-Joy was required to switch schools. She enrolled later at Queen's Gate School in which she took ballet classes and was involved in school plays. In her 16th year, she left school to pursue an acting profession. From a young age Taylor-Joy had a dream to become an actress and her dream came true when she was approached for a modeling gig at the hands of Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
